Molson Coors Beverage Company will soon have a new leader at the helm.

The current president and CEO Gavin Hattersley, who has been in the role since 2019, has announced he will retire by the year’s end.

As a 28-year veteran in the beer industry, Hattersley played an integral role in shaping the existing company through mergers and acquisitions between SABMiller (South African Brewing), MillerCoors and Molson Coors.

Hattersley is credited with having helped grow the Miller business and launching the MillerCoors U.S. joint venture in 2008. He also initiated a Revitalization Plan and subsequent Acceleration Plan to return the company to growth.
