Power Crunch was founded in 1996 and includes a portfolio of products in the protein snack category, including wafer bars and high-protein crisps.

Global confectionary company Ferrero Group is expanding its snack portfolio by acquiring Power Crunch from Bio-Nutritional Research Group.

The move is part of Ferrero’s efforts to expand its presence in the better-for-you segment, following acquisitions of Fulfil and Eat Natural in Europe. The company acquired candy brands Butterfinger, Baby Ruth, and Crunch and cookie brands Keebler, Famous Amos, and Mother’s from Nestlé in 2018 as well as Iowa-based ice cream company Wells Enterprises in 2022.

Power Crunch was founded in 1996 and includes a portfolio of products in the protein snack category, including wafer bars and high-protein crisps. The purchase includes Power Crunch’s Irvine, Calif., office and its approximately 50 employees.
