Bic‘s new CEO, Rob Versloot, stepped into the role this week, replacing Gonzalve Bich.

As the company’s top leader, he is tasked with shaping the global strategy for Bic, overseeing sustainable growth.

Versloot was hired for his “belief in the power of simplicity, purposeful innovation and people-first leadership,” according to the company. He brings decades of international experience in driving business transformations with a long-term view toward value.

Prior to joining Bic, Versloot was the CEO of The Hero Group, a family-owned international food company focused on branded nutritional food products.

He also spent nearly 15 years within Danone’s early life nutrition segment, serving in a variety of roles before ultimately becoming regional vice president for its baby nutrition subsidiaries in the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and export markets in Central Asia.
