Schwan’s Company Names Brian Schiegg New CEO

Schwan’s Company, the manufacturer for brands like Red Baron, Tony’s, Hearth & Fire, Big Daddy’s, Villa Prima, and Freschetta pizza, has a new leader at the helm. The company has named Brian Schiegg its new CEO. 

Schiegg was most recently the company’s president of its consumer brands business. Since joining in 2021, he helped grow the bibigo Asian-style foods and Red Baron pizza brands to a No. 1 market share position for their respective categories. 

Previously, Schiegg worked across several leadership roles, including COO of Ocean Spray Cranberries. Additionally, he took on leadership positions across general management, business transformation, supply chain leadership, manufacturing, product development, and brand building within subsidiaries and departments of Mars, Inc.

Schiegg takes over for Dimitrios Smyrnios, who is retiring from the position after a decade in the role. He will be the seventh CEO in the company’s 72-year history.
