John Carmichael, President, North America
Kimberly-Clark has hired John Carmichael to lead the company’s North America business.
As the region’s president, Carmichael will oversee the personal care, family care and professional businesses in the U.S. and Canada. He will report to president and CEO Russ Torres.
Torres said in a statement that Carmichael was hired for his proven experience as a leader with relevant experience across categories, channels and geographies.
“He brings a strong track record of accelerating growth, transforming businesses and cultivating high-performance cultures,” he said, adding that Carmichael will continue executing the company’s Powering Care strategy.
On Sept. 15, he takes over for Kurt Laufer, who is transitioning back to his prior role of president for U.S. consumer sales.
