Amy’s Kitchen says it is embarking on a new chapter of innovation and transformation, and as a result, has hired Mel Cash to lead the company’s sales and marketing strategies as its chief growth officer, and has promoted Leanne Molter to CFO, which will include IT oversight.
Cash will be helping to grow the premium organic food brand, driving sales, marketing, and communication efforts. She brings a comprehensive CPG background, having worked as the chief marketing and innovation officer at Nestlé North America.
Additionally, at Kellogg, she was previously the VP of global category strategy and marketing for the company’s plant-based protein and growth brands. Prior to that, she led marketing for the Special K and Morningstar Farms brands.
As part of this leadership shift, Amy’s Kitchen also promoted Leanne Molter to CFO from chief transformation and strategy officer. Molter is also a CPG veteran, having spent 20 years in the industry and worked with companies like J.M. Smucker.
“To achieve our ambitious objectives, we are delighted to have Leanne spearheading our organizational transformation, and leading finance and information technology,” said Paul Schiefer, president at Amy’s Kitchen, in a statement. “Her strategic foresight and operational prowess have already propelled our business forward, and we are confident she will lead Amy’s Kitchen to even greater heights as chief financial officer.”
Cash and Molter are part of the senior leadership team for the brand, which includes a portfolio of over 250 organic frozen and packaged foods with allergy-friendly ingredients.
